Filmed at night from Tel Aviv rooftops as the city carries on below, this documentary examines the systems Israel used to select targets and approve strikes that killed civilians in Gaza after 7 October 2023.
The film shows nighttime interviews with 24 Israeli soldiers and intelligence officers, conducted by Yuval Abraham over three years on rooftops in Tel Aviv.
Shown only as dark silhouettes with their voices distorted to hide their identities, the interviewees describe the AI systems and mobile phone surveillance used to identify targets in Gaza and their role in the mass killing of Palestinian civilians. Sometimes they draw simple maps and diagrams to illustrate a point.
Interspersed with the interviews are shots of Tel Aviv at night. An introductory sequence summarises the October 7 attacks.
